Kickstarter has finished processing everyone's payments, so now we're able to move onto the next exciting step: surveys!
We're partnering with a service called BackerKit to collect the information we need to fulfill your rewards. You'll be able to enter your shipping address, and pick which signed book you want and who Adam is signing it for (if you pledged for a book reward). You can even upgrade your entire pledge level if you want – the amount you pledged through Kickstarter will be used as credit toward your new reward level.
And if you have a friend that's bummed because they missed out on the Kickstarter, you can direct them to our BackerKit preorder store. But unfortunately for your friend, only the game is available for preorder. The signed book rewards are only available to people who backed the Kickstarter campaign.
BackerKit will be emailing you at the address linked to your Kickstarter account. So if you're reading this email, you should receive your survey at this same address in the next few days. If you don't see a survey by next week, check your spam folder. If you still can't find it, let me know.
Please fill out your survey by Sunday, June 30th!
After June 30th, the Kickstarter-exclusive signed book rewards will no longer be an available option on the surveys.
When are the rewards shipping?
Adam will start signing books for the signed book rewards as soon as we have everyone's selection. We won't be able to start sending out signed books until everyone has completed their surveys, but if everyone turns their surveys in in time, they books should be in the mail to you in the first half of July.
The games are still on schedule to ship in October.
What if I'm planning on moving between now and October?
You'll be able to update your address through BackerKit at any point between now and when the games ship. We'll send a reminder just before they're ready to go out.
I pledged for extra copies of the game. What do I do?
When you receive your survey, your reward level and pledge amount will be displayed to you. If your pledge amount exceeds the reward level, the difference will show up as a credit on your account. You'll be able to spend that credit at the "Add-ons" section of the BackerKit survey – just add an "Add-on Game" to your cart.
You can add extra games or books even if you didn't pledge for them on Kickstarter. BackerKit will charge you for the difference.

Thank you so much for helping make this happen. We're so incredibly excited we're going to be able to make a Unicorn Rescue Society game for everyone to enjoy. And it's all thanks to you.
Now we're beginning the illustration phase, which will take the next 6-8 weeks. We'll be sure to share updates when we have something exciting to show off.
In a couple of weeks, we'll be sending out surveys to the email in your Kickstarter account using a service called Backerkit. Backerkit will let you customize your rewards (for example, if you pledged for a signed book, picking which book you want and to whom Adam should sign it). It'll also let you update your shipping address if anything changes between now and when the game is ready this fall.
There will even be a preorder page for the game if you've got a friend that missed out on backing the campaign. But not the signed books – those are a perk only available to our Kickstarter backers.

As of this afternoon, we crossed the $10,000 threshold. That means this is really happening. There's going to be a Unicorn Rescue Society card game. What a great way to start off our final week on Kickstarter!
First of all, thank you. Without your support, the game would just be an ugly pile of cardboard that Adam and I periodically tried to convince other people to play with us. But thanks to you, it's going to be a beautifully-illustrated game that people around the world can play together.
After the campaign is over, we'll be emailing out surveys to collect addresses and other information (like book preferences and personalized dedications for backers that chose book rewards).
But we're not done yet. The campaign will keep running until this Thursday at midnight EDT. Keep spreading the word, because backing the campaign now is going to be the best way to get the game (and other rewards) shipped directly to you as soon as they're available.
There will be a few more updates before the campaign is done. But for now, we just wanted to thank you for making our project a reality.
